And I mean all - I’m reaching out to all friends and colleagues, old and new to support my effort to raise $5000 by November 7th for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

I had to step away from the fund-raising world for two years and sadly the return has been really tough. I’ve had some folks just come right out and say, “Nope, I’m not donating anymore” - which I have to say, is a blow to the spirit, BUT I’m not letting it hold me back and I’ve decided to pull out the stops.
I am going to ask everyone in my contact list.
Yes, indeed, that is a bold move, but hey, that’s me.

Here are the bullet points:

  • I have seen what this charity can do for people and I believe in them
  • I am willing to put my body through 10 weeks of training and then 109 miles in 12 hours if it can help save a life
  • I believe in the charity of people and willingness to skip a Starbuck’s run or a movie for one night to help same a life
  • I’ve raised $1300 so far and I know there are 100 people with $37 out there and I can find them in the next 2 weeks or 370 people with $10 =) Frankly - any dollar is a step in the right direction, no?
