  1. John Hall says:

I’ve listened to this first episode of “Feedback Conversations” a couple times, and it was enjoyable enough, but I’m still trying to figure out what it was meant to add to the Feedback: A Hero’s Calling series.

During one of the earlier between-season hiatuses, I had posted a suggestion that there be interviews with the actors talking about their characters and providing unique insights into aspects and back-stories that the episodes had not been able to show. Mostly something to tide over us fanatic listeners between seasons and secondarily to add depth to the characters.

When Caith and company announced Feedback Conversations, which is similar in concept but with important differences, I thought its purpose might have been the same — provide some material when nothing else is being posted and maybe add something to what we know about the characteristics.

As things have turned out, FC is airing at the same time as new material starts posting from the main series. Well, that’s okay. But listening to the episode, I couldn’t spot anything about K2 that wasn’t already well-established in the aired episodes. Did I miss something? Was there a different purpose here, as in providing something for people new to the series to use to catch up on what has come before? Or did the delays in airing simply cut away most of the distinctive value in what had been a very original and potentially interesting spin-off series from the main Feedback show?

Any comments from Caith or Kim or Aaron? Thanks. — John Hall

PS: On another topic, I noted that Caith has posted some draft scripts for season 3 on the main Tech Support website for peer review. Might that not be of interest to the visitors to Broken Sea as an important milestone toward the start of season 3 itself? If it’s that far along, then it seems real enough and imminent enough that you can begin building anticipation without fearing that events will seriously delay you again.

  2. Caith Donovan says:

    John,

Once again I am grateful for your insights.

I could blame the many production delays, the passage of time, or other things, but that would not do.

This project is largely mine, and while I am an experienced writer, running (most of) a show is very new for me. The plan is to go further, and to enhance F:AHC and Beta Flight as a whole. We’ll see how well I do.

    Thank you again,

    Caith
