Good Thursday Hooligans! It’s another great week of Hooliganism here at BrokenSea. We have two great releases for you:

In addition to this, we have great news on the legal front. As many of you will recall we were served with notice that we were in violation of trademark by attorneys for CPI due to a similarity in the style of our Logo to promote the show as it “constitutes unfair competition and falsely suggests the CPI has sponsored, authorized and /or is otherwise connected with you or your goods.”

Being the good Audio Hooligans that we are, we were shocked by the claim that we were selling audio books at all and that a logo created by our very own Art Meister could be construed in such a fashion, we examined our plans for the series and determined that a more appropriate name would be The Hyborean Sagas.

We have now been sent a correspondence from CPI stating that based on a recent visit to our site, they feel that we have complied and hope that we will continue to respect their legal rights…

We’re happy that they’ve seen the light of day regarding our stories not being an infringement on copyright, though they still believe we’re selling audio books at our site. If they spent more than a few seconds on our site they’d have seen that we aren’t selling anything, and that our original logo for the series was in fact an original piece of art. I suppose we’ll just hang it in the virtual lobby of Gorilla Audio Works and admire its beauty.

While we enjoy the new releases this week, let’s spend a moment to remember the anniversary of an event that is
still shaping the world to this day, even after seven years. While this is one of the most tragic events in recent memory,
let’s also consider how it brought us closer together as well.

Happy New Audio Thursday everyone!
