Project Parsec – Support Audio Hooliganism

Parsec Finalists 2009

Hi, I’m Steven Jay Cohen, Head Writer here at BrokenSea Audio Productions’ Doctor Who.

I want to take a moment to thank those of you who have already donated at www.brokensea.com/donate. Your support will help send a member of the production team to the the Parsec Awards.

Not only has a Brokensea show made it to the finals for the second year running, so your contribution will help make it possible for a BSAP representative to be at the award ceremony, but, an event like this can give us access to people involved in the professional production of creative media.

Many people involved in the productions you enjoy here at BrokenSea would love to be able to give up the day job, as it were, and make stories like these for a living. Getting these stories to the ears of the right people could be the big break they are dreaming about. So please, head over to www.brokensea.com/donate and give what you can.

Fifty dollars? Twenty? How about ten or five? If even ten percent of our listenership gave five dollars to support what we’re calling project parsec, it would make a big difference.

That URL again, www.brokensea.com/donate.

Thank you.

Project Parsec

Please take a moment to consider making a donation to send a Hooligan to the Parsecs!

Hello, I am David Sobkowiak, a founding member here at BrokenSea Audio Productions.

In a little over 2 years, BrokenSea has gone from a simple idea to a vital audio community. One of BrokenSea’s strengths is the diversity of our community. From Europe to the Americas to Asia, the BrokenSea family spans the globe. And, none of this audio would hasve been possible without support from listeners like you.

For the second year in a row, our shows have made it to the finals of the Parsec Awards. The Parsec Awards are given for Speculative Fiction Podcasts and are presented on Saturday, September 5th 2009, at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, Georgia.

BrokenSea is raising money to help send one of our own to the ceremony. Dragon*Con offers BrokenSea the opportunity to get the Guerilla Audio, that you know and love, to a wider audience.

And… this is where you come in. Making a pledge right now at www.brokensea.com/donate is the best way for you to express your support for all the shows that you know and love. Jake Sampson, X-Files, Maudlayne, and Doctor Who — among others — if you have enjoyed these stories even half as much as we have enjoyed producing them, let us know. Take a minute and donate now on our secure paypal page.

That URL again… is www.brokensea.com/donate
Thank you.

“BETA FLIGHT”

The world is proliferating with superpowered people. No one knows why.

The scientists and strategists at Tech Support have been using their BetaScope to track “protosignals”—the energy signature that heralds the “birth” of a new super. If they are timely, they may be able to save innocent people from being destroyed by forces they cannot understand or control. If they are timely, they may be able to gain new allies to help protect the world.
Not everyone they find is ready … or willing … to don a costume and help others.

And then again …some are. These are their adventures.
